TSYS and Telrock partner for US m-payments

Telrock and TSYS say they are jointly developing a suite of integrated mobile solutions for TSYS' North American clients. Telrock has been providing mobile solutions for TSYS' European card processing clients for more than one year.

“We are pleased to be working with Telrock to deliver the first piece of our multifaceted mobile commerce strategy,” says Matt Jardina, group executive for Value Added Products at TSYS. “Our processing solutions enable companies to get new products to the market faster, improve efficiency and boost profitability. We have been extremely confident in our working relationship with Telrock and this is reflected in our decision to enter into this further agreement with the company to serve our clients across North America.”

The decision to extend the relationship to North America is based on the success of the European relationship and an increased interest in mobile account servicing and payment solutions in the North American card market. The solutions will include a suite of SMS-based mobile services, including fraud alerting, account notifications, customer inquiries and payments.

“The expansion of our partnership with TSYS marks an important milestone for Telrock and we welcome the opportunity to extend our proven mobile solutions into the North American market,” adds Russell Robinson, managing director of Telrock. “TSYS gives Telrock a single point of integration to provide its mobile solutions to a market of more than 200m North American cardholders, giving us a strong foothold in the US market.”
