TSYS Establishes London as Its Hub for Global Payment Services

TSYS announced the promotion of Kelley Knutson, former managing director of TSYS Europe and a veteran of the European payments industry, to Group Executive of Global Services responsible for all international sales, client relations and operations outside of North America. Knutson will be based in London, positioning TSYS in a global financial center to direct its payment services.

Bruce Bacon will accept a newly created role and promotion to Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, overseeing global marketing, business development, North American sales and value-added product sales. Bacon has served as Group Executive of the International Division since 2002.

            “This announcement profiles our emphasis on growth, expansion and our vision to be the world's leading provider of global payment services,” said Gaylon Jowers, Jr, executive vice president of international and business expansion. “Both men bring special skills that will help us achieve our goals.”

            Kelley Knutson has more than 20 years experience in the global payments market, and has held a number of leadership roles in the industry. He joined TSYS in 2003, and has led TSYS' growth and market presence in the U.K. and into continental Europe.

            Bruce Bacon has more than 20 years experience in international business, finance and project management. He joined TSYS in 1996 and was instrumental in the company's expansion into Asia, Latin America and Europe, serving as TSYS Europe's first managing director in 1999.
