Selftrade launches mobile share dealing service

Selftrade customers will be among the first in the UK to have access to a new internet share dealing service from their mobile phones.

The service is designed specifically for mobile phones enabling customers to deal in investments traded on the London Stock Exchange and will be available to the general public from end of Q3 2008. It offers customers a mobile internet with market data and news, as well as access to their accounts where they can view their portfolio, statement and open orders and, most importantly, trade whilst on the move.

“We are really excited about offering this extension to our current service,” says Mark Pearson, marketing director, Selftrade. “The customers we researched were really impressed with the usability of it and the range of tradable items available. We recognised that customers are not only using their mobile for calls and texting but increasingly as a portal for information on the move.”

“With market news and data at your finger tips, it no longer matters if you aren't by a PC at a critical time, now you can always identify and then act upon investment opportunities and market movements all from one source, while on the move.”
